From the Classroom to the Consultation Room

Teaching chemistry means learning how to take something dense and complicated and make it make sense to someone who has never heard it before. Medicare, health insurance, and employee benefits work the same way. The information is out there, but without someone to translate it, most people end up confused, overwhelmed, or just going with whatever their neighbor chose.

I founded Connecticut Insurance Group in March 2026 with a straightforward goal: to be the advisor I wished my own family had access to when navigating these decisions.

The Way I Work

Teaching trained me to slow down, explain things from the ground up, and check for understanding. I don’t move on until the person across from me actually gets it.

Education First

My goal is for every client to leave a meeting knowing not just what plan they’re on, but why we chose it and how to use it. I want you to be able to explain your own coverage to your doctor, your spouse, or your kids.

Real-Life Support

Enrolling you in a plan is step one. When a bill doesn’t match your explanation of benefits, when a prior authorization gets denied, when a question comes up on a random Tuesday afternoon, I pick up. I respond. That’s what ongoing support actually means.

A Lifetime Advisor

I built Connecticut Insurance Group to serve clients across the arc of their lives. Individual health insurance in your 50s and early 60s feeds directly into Medicare planning. Group benefits for your business can include life and disability coverage for your key people. I want to be the advisor you call for all of it, not just one chapter.

What Most People Get Wrong

Here’s the problem: different plans have various network restrictions that can limit where you receive care.  If you live in the middle of the state and want care at a different facility, you might be out of network. Most people don’t check their network. They don’t check their drug formulary. They don’t do a needs-based analysis.

And the second most common mistake: ‘I want what my neighbor has.’ Your neighbor has different doctors, different prescriptions, and a different health history. The plan that’s perfect for them may not cover what you actually need.

Where I Work

I’m based in North Haven and primarily serve individuals and businesses in the greater New Haven County area, including Wallingford, Hamden, North Branford, Branford, and surrounding towns.

In-person consultations are available at my office at 1 Saint John St., North Haven, CT. Virtual appointments and home visits are also available for clients who prefer to meet remotely or closer to home.

Want to See If We’re a Good Fit?

All consultations are no-cost. There’s no pressure to decide in the meeting. My goal is for you to walk out with answers, whether you work with me or not.
